Shea Wageman's PG animated comedy (~95 minutes; Owen Wilson as Charlie) follows boy Danny and his aging golden retriever. Aliens abduct Charlie (and neighbor cat Puddy), restoring Charlie's youth with superpowers while Puddy gains intelligence and schemes against humanity. Charlie becomes "Wonderdog," learning that real heroism is courage and kindness. Silly alien fun with a tender pet-bond heart; very young kids may find the villain cat or aging-pet themes upsetting, and there's some rude humor/language typical of PG family animation.
